چکیده
Non-structural carbohydrates (NSC) affect tree growth and survival when photosynthesis is impacted by climate change, such as seasonal drought extreme precipitation. Nevertheless, it still unclear whether Eucalyptus suffers limitation under natural conditions if trees recover artificial cultivation. In present study, we conducted a field control experiment to compare the NSC storage in urophylla × grandis on fertilization dry-season irrigation determine variations of stress. The results indicated total soluble sugar (TSS) was primary existing form NSC. spatial patterns, concentration showed gradient differences from source organ sink organ, finally accumulated root. TSS decreased trend with height except leaf, while starch contrast. Surprisingly, had not changed carbon distribution among all tissues but reduced most organs. fast-growing E. will consume assimilates organs, maintains at certain threshold. Our help comprehend allocation improve productivity plantations arid areas.

A Newly Identified Passive Hyperaccumulator Eucalyptus grandis × E. urophylla under Manganese Stress
Manganese (Mn) is an essential micronutrient needed for plant growth and development, but can be toxic to plants in excess amounts. However, some plant species have detoxification mechanisms that allow them to accumulate Mn to levels that are normally toxic, a phenomenon known as hyperaccumulation. These species are excellent candidates for developing a cost-effective remediation strategy for M...
متن کاملGenetic control of Eucalyptus urophylla and E. grandis resistance to canker caused by Chrysoporthe cubensis
Chrysophorte cubensis induced canker occurs in nearly all tropical and subtropical regions where eucalypts are planted, causing losses in both wood quality and volume productivity, especially so in the warmer and more humid regions of Brazil. The wide inter and intra-specific genetic variability of resistance to canker among Eucalyptus species facilitates the selection of resistant plants. In t...

متن کاملGrowth promotion mediated by endophytic fungi in cloned seedlings of Eucalyptus grandis x Eucalyptus urophylla hybrids
Eucalyptus cultivation has expanded considerably in Brazilian systems, leading to the current search for technologies to optimize growing conditions and the production of seedlings in nurseries. Based on the understanding that the development of tree species such as Eucalyptus sp. can be influenced by endophytic fungi that act directly as plant growth-promoting species, cloned seedlings of Euca...

Background Eucalyptus species are the most widely planted hardwood trees in the world representing more than 4.75 million ha in Brazil. Their high productivity, valuable wood properties and wide adaptability could allow sustainable and cost-efficient production of lignocellulosic bioenergy. The main limitation to this objective is wood recalcitrance to degradation which is linked to the structu...
